After a Portland hotel pickup, travel through various parts of 'Rip City' — from downtown to the Pearl District to Nob Hill, plus several other neighborhoods. Visit all the must-see attractions, including Pioneer Courthouse Square, and learn about the great diversity found in Portland’s downtown area, the historical importance it has played in the state’s history, and the fast-growing culture that exists here.

Learn about the many prominent and notable citizens of Oregon. Tour through the Pittock Mansion, a meticulously preserved architectural landmark that symbolizes Portland’s transformation from a small lumber town into a bustling city. While traveling, let the fragrance of more than 550 different varieties of roses delight the senses with the lush and beautiful Washington Park.

The last stop is the Lan Su Chinese Garden, one of Portland's greatest treasures and arguably the most interesting site to see while visiting the city. The garden is the result of a collaboration between the cities of Portland and Suzhou, a sister city in China's Jiangsu province that's famous for its beautiful Ming Dynasty gardens.

You will have a variety of options to choose from for lunch.

Visit the beautiful Columbia River Gorge!  Your adventure will take place along the Historic Columbia River National Scenic Byway, where some of the locations we may stop include: Portland Women’s Forum, Crown Point Vista House, Latourell Falls, and Multnomah Falls.

You tour will start with the view from Portland Women's Forum.  This location is absolutely breathtaking and it's one of the best spots to soak in a view of one of the most beautiful places on earth: the magnificent, awesome Columbia River Gorge.

Next, we will stop at Crown Visit Point House with a complete overlook of the Gorge region.  Crown Point Vista House, best known of the scenic lookouts along the Historic Columbia River Highway, provides a panoramic view of the Columbia River.

Our next stop is Latourell Falls. This waterfall plunges 249' over a massive wall of columnar basalt, some of the best formations in the Pacific Northwest, before cascading hastily toward the Columbia River. This waterfall is usually most recognized for the large patch of bright yellow lichen adorning the cliff face to the right of the falls, and this characteristic has led many famous photographers to this captivating location.

We may also stop at Bridal Veil Falls. This beautiful waterfall is an elegant and graceful lady that can be fully appreciated from the deck of a viewing platform rebuilt in 1996.

Next we will drive to Multnomah Falls. According to Native American lore, Multnomah Falls was created to win the heart of a young princess who wanted a hidden place to bathe.  Multnomah Falls is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest!

The tour ends with a return trip and drop-off in Portland.

Neahkahnie Point: This peak is an inspiring place, where the Tillamook tribe believed their most powerful god resided. In fact, the name Neahkahnie comes from their words Ne ("place of") and Ekahnie ("supreme deity").

Manzanita: Manzanita is a beautiful oceanside city with seven miles of sandy beach and the third most photographed scenery in Oregon. While here you can enjoy a spectacular walk by the ocean or explore their lovely downtown.

Short Sand Beach/Oswald West State Park: Stretching along four miles of coastline in dense, temperate rainforest, Oswald West State Park has a beautifully secluded sandy beach and miles of trails leading to breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.  This vast, scenic treasure is without a doubt one of the most spectacular parks in Oregon.

Cannon Beach: This picturesque small-town village by the sea is easily walkable and you will be able to explore meandering pathways, enjoy public art and courtyards spilling over with flowers. Known as one of the Northwest’s top art towns, Cannon Beach is filled with art galleries, specialty shops, cafes and fine dining restaurants. While in Cannon Beach you will have time for lunch at one of their amazing restaurants.  Cannon Beach is also famous for its amazing beaches.

Historic Haystack Rock: Haystack Rock is one of Oregon’s most recognizable landmarks, home to colorful tidepools and diverse bird life. It rises 235 feet from the edge of the shoreline. At low tide, you can walk right up to it and find colorful sea stars and other fascinating tidepool creatures in its intertidal area. Puffins can be observed on Haystack Rock from early spring to mid-summer, offering the most accessible viewing of Tufted Puffins in the Northwest.

Ecola State Park:  No visit to Cannon Beach would be complete without visiting Ecola State Park, perched dramatically on the edge of Tillamook Head. Ecola Park Road winds through old growth rainforest before emerging at one of the Oregon Coast’s most famous views, overlooking numerous rock formations and the capes and headlands miles to the south.

Your Food Cart and Neighborhoods Tour begins by meeting your dedicated tour guide at the historic Heathman Hotel.  From here you will board into the EAT Van where your guide will chauffeur you through downtown Portland on a short ride up to the vibrant Mississippi neighborhood.  North Mississippi Ave has changed a lot in the past few years and is now home to many restaurants, music venues, and a very good food cart pod.  You'll sample your first few bites at a local food cart favorite here. Next you'll hop back in the EAT van, (his name is Harold) and head over to the colorful Alberta Arts District that is becoming known for its boutique shops, art galleries, street murals, bike shops, restaurants, and more.  Your guide will share history on the early Portland settlers, and a few of the different changes the north end of town has seen.  You'll make a food stop here and sample one of Alberta's more eclectic food pods.  Next, you'll get back in the Van and journey south where you'll get to enjoy views of Portland's beautiful green neighborhoods. You'll pass by the family friendly neighborhood of Beaumont, see one of Portland's best designed inner-city parks, until you'll make your way to the very popular neighborhoods of Belmont, and southeast Hawthorne.  The Belmont and Hawthorne neighborhoods are known for showing off Portland's strong sense of individuality.  Most of the shops, as you'll see, are independently owned and operated.  You'll get to experience the mix of urban diversity, the funky feel, and colorful residents that reside in these neighborhoods. You'll make a stop along one of these streets to sample a local food cart pod, whose fare takes the farm-to-table concept and brings it into a cart.  Afterwards you'll head south to the exciting neighborhood of southeast Division.  Here you'll get to understand why this street was named top 10 foodie streets in America!  Here on division you'll visit one of the newest, and most friendly food cart pods in Portland.  Your guide will take you back to downtown Portland where the tour began.
Please be advised that although this is a driving tour, you will be getting out to explore the food pods, so please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.  The ticket price include all transportation, food & beverages, and expert tour guide.  It is also advisable to book this tour 24 hours or more before tour starts.
